This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Forgive me if this has been done already. The idea is super simple, make a list of 5 games or series you feel deserves more attention. Mine are in no particular order;

1: The Thief series (The Dark Project was the first true stealth game)
2: Final Fantasy IX (This seems to be the least liked in the series, or one of)
3: System Shock 2 (This game was a fantastic mixture of RPG and FPS gameplay. Not to mention it was mighty scary)
4: Beyond Good and Evil (I have not played that much but I played enough to know it deserves FAR more attention than it got)
5: Shenmue (Bad voice acting and slow parts aside, this game was revolutionary for it's time)

Mischief Makers for the N64, they should put it on the virtual console, remake it for the DS or the Wii

oh and btw, Halo gets enough credit as it is

"Nobody gives it enough credit."

Hahahah!

In other news, Rez and Fur Fighters struck my mind within seconds of seeing the title of this thread. They're both for the Dreamcast and PS2 and more than worth the effort of tracking them down nowadays.

EDIT: How did I forget Power Stone 2?

EDIT 2: GOD DAMN IT CRAZY STOP MESSING WITH MY POSTS

I for one agree with Adam. I mean do you really think you can go up to a 14 year old boy and ask if he knows about Halo and will say "OMG YES MC ROX!!!!" ? I think not.

Boktai. It's the only underappreciated game I know. I don't know enough games to know games that arn't really popular.

Boktai was pretty unappriciated and was criticised and never released Boktai 3, those bastards....

Bloody Roar was pretty unappreciated too, they should make a new one

Judging by the wikipedia article, I actually don't think I would've liked Boktai 3, what with the dumb motorcycle gimmick and all. I can't wait to get my hands on Lunar Knights tho.

Indigo Prophecy. It was such a great game I can forgive it for having the worst ending of any story ever.

The Kingdom Under Fire series is pretty good too.

Act Raiser.

I wish it had a more proper sequel. There's more, I just can't think right now.

TimeSplitter Series its getting more popular, but its still more of a "cult" thing mainly i guess cos its up against halo n stuff (which by the way i feel to be THE most overrated series EVER)

Jet Set/Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Rez, and Ico. All fantastic but deemed stupid in one way or another. Sequels to all, I say! Sequels to all.

Zelda: Majora's Mask is considered inferior to Ocarina of Time, but that is false! It should be given a Wii-make, or a souped-up port to the DS.

Someones been playing Dreamcast!

I have to say that Radical Dreamers went kidnda under the radar but was never really heard about then again it wasn't released in the U.S. Another one fo my favorite games that kinda went underappreciated was "Clock tower" All of them really...

Sometimes it feels like I only play underappreciated games. I seem to have a knack for playing cult classics.

Snorlax, I salute you!

I am the Milkman, my milk is delicious!

Oh, I submit Dark Chronicle. I've never met another person who's played it, but it's awesome.

Finaly someone that's played Dark Chronicle. I've played both Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle ( why didn't they just name it Dark Cloud 2?) and I loved them, but nobody knew about them so everythime I mentioned it people looked at me like I was retarded. It was definantly one of the best rpg's in the early days of the PS2.

To an extent, the Shin Megami Tensei series is a little under-appreciated. I'd also have to go with Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia as well. Possibly the SaGa series, and Psychonauts too. However, I'm gonna go back and say that The Guardian Legend for the NES is very under appreciated, even though it has plenty of aspects that make it good.

I played Dark Chronicle and Psychonauts too... good times.
Sadly I don't know many people who have done the same...

I want to add to the list the Suikoden Series... Especially Suikoden V it was a real gem but not many people know about it (from my peronal experiences at least...)
