There's a good point here; I myself gave it a try (subbed of course), and I have to say, I really liked the serious turn it took... There was a lot of 'good' in that show, and honestly, it really proved itself as a series despite being a spin-off.
I'll never know what drove Takahashi to design the bikes but... It was a good series.

Personally, despite the basic premise of CARD GAMES IN SPACE being so utterly ridiculous, and the 'aimed at children' thing, there's this one little thing that's reminding me that sometimes, things aimed at children... Are actually really not. Not to mention... There's a big point here, it could be good. I would just like to know what that spirit looking guy is myself... (Probably an alien or something...  )

I will with-hold all my current jugdements about Zexal, for a reason. I thought GX was going to suck, and I ended up liking it. I thought 5D's was going to suck, and I ended up liking it. I have been proven wrong TWICE by those magnificent bastards who make these series up. So, I believe only time will tell whether or not Zexal was a good idea.

I loved GX in Japanese (though, granted, I didn't watch more than 5 episodes... I sort of skipped over to DSI's YGO GX Abridged, but I'm planning on watching more of GX!) Judai Yuki is awesome~
5Ds... hm.. I haven't seen much of it but I've mainly heard good things about it. :l So the bashing is kind of... lame. :/ Anyway. I don't know about this new one. Zexal... it doesn't even look like Yu-Gi-Oh! Oh well.. here's some art I found of it. :U  I like how he's already compared to a shrimp. X]     Eh.. he really looks like a minor character that Yusei would meet and defeat within two episodes (filler ones, at that) but whatever! I'll be watching. e___e

His hair looks kinda like Yusei's... Part of it is pink like Aki's... The guys on 5D's pretty confirmed YuseiXAki... Zexal is set AFTER 5D's... OHDEARFRICKINGOD!!! I think he might be Yusei's descendant!!! ...And that's my fan theory for the day!
