This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

This.

I personally blame it on the fact that a lot of the kids didn't really grow up with the show and have taken TAS to be some sort of God like object for YGO. Not everyone but that seems to be very prominent in this fandom now.

I know He's Yami Marik. But Duh, this theme is in the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Sub-Forum.

Exactly. I mean, I love TAS too, but it isn't canon, and it never will be. (I could say the same about the dub.)
Take Anzu's (Tea's, if you prefer) 'friendship speeches', they aren't as awful or common as the abridged series makes them seem, yet she gets bashed all the time for it.

Of course they are, I mean, If I talk about Marik, the original Marik (not 4kids, Japanese version) is very interesting and more evil.

The whole you make fun of the things you love thing and I agree. Fuck, when I watched the dub, I didn't even notice her execisive friendship speeches.

And I do like YGOTAS but I am getting tired of seeing it everywhere. I've been with fandom long enough to know it goes through phases but it doesn't stop me from getting irritated. It isn't directed at anyone particular and I know this is TAS sub forums so if I offended anyway, I apologize.

The taking over the world thing never made sense to me. The just kill everyone and fuck with their minds while doing so was so much more interesting.

Yeah. Me neither. It might have been because I was younger when I watched the dub, but still, it never bothered me.

I'm tired of seeing it all over the internet in the english fandom. And I'm thankful for it, in a way, it brought the fandom back to life. Though I never get tired of using TAS stuff for inside jokes irl. aha.

This. Yes, it is funny but you know, originality is a good thing people and there is only so many times you can repeat something before it gets dry.

I use TAS and my own random thoughts/mockeries on YGO all the time with my friends. Half of them don't get it and the other half tell me to grow up. It is actually quite fun. irl is different than internet fandom though so it is fine to me

Exactly. There is no need to constantly repeat everything LK says.

Same here. I've got one geeky friend who watches TAS and we try to make eachother laugh during classes or in otherwise inappropriate situations aha.

I save pictures and upload them to photobucket. Hotlinking causes issues and I don't really look on DA
