Malik or Yami Malik? Malik isn't really sadistic, and Bakura may be crazy, but he isn't near what Yami Malik is.

Hm.... I don't particularly like any of the female characters in YGO. Mai would be my favourite as most other female characters are pretty much just 'followers' in the group.

I was just wondering about the females in YGO the other day: would they pass the "bechdel test" (which i obviously discovered on tvtropes.org)

the bechdel test sortof measures how important the female characters are in a show. to pass, the show has to

1.include at least two women,
2.who have at least one conversation alone
3.about something other than a man or men

well, it's probably good for numbers 1 and 2, but i think number 3 is questionable. any opinions?

It's not much of a show for female characters, though (which is probably why we all love it so much ;) )

The only show about females that I like are when they're schoolgirls in an all girl school...no boys...ok, ok, I really did like strawberry panic, it's a shoujo ai, but it's pretty cute~

I also really like Ishizu's character because she has a mission, and is relatively independent, unlike the depictions of females in some other story universes.

isis and mai i would say are the hottest cartoons on YGO

Actually, i thought ishizu was a man for a REALLY long time when i first watched the abridged series, becuase i didn't remember her from the real thing. And for some reason she just looks really manly to me... it must be the shoulders... i don't know...

I do think she's one of the strongest female characters, though, with Mai. She stands up to her bat shit insane little bro, for one thing. She's pretty awesome.
