I'm currently reading simultaneously: Yu-gi-oh, Shaman King, Bakuman, Fairy Tail, and Chi's Sweet Home. They have all proved to be pretty good so far. (Note Chi's Sweet Home may not appeal to boys as much, since it's about a kitten)

(Note Dragonball often has sexual humor and extremely perverted old men. Also Goku drops his pants A LOT.)

Just finished Zack Parson's two outer echelon novelettes, phrasebook and rakshasa. Same universe, very different stories. I also recommend his actual movel, liminal states. It's a nonflowery lovecraftian treat.

Hi, I have not finished the Manga magazines here given by my daughter's professor in arts. I just keep on browsing first because I'm impressed by the comic and cartooning style of the magazines.

I'm in the middle of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series; I have somehow never gotten around to it before. I like the style pretty well, very informal and cheeky. Good creativity in metaphor and simile descriptions.

I started reading Mistborn a little while ago, but I'm an extremely slow reader so I haven't gotten very far into it.
