Naruto is getting on my nerves. 10 Episodes and they still have gotten NO WHERE! Gai's Team can't finish their fight, Naruto & Kakashi keep chasing Deidara, and Sakura is actually doing almost Everything(surprisingly enough) to beat Sasori and that's still as slow as hell! It was annoying how they were surprised that Sasori's a puppet, Even I knew that when he showed his face how many episodes ago. I was so Mad at Kakashi for not Dying(as wierd as that sounds) I was like "Yay! They're gonna fight!" Then Kakashi lives and I was like "S***!" Another Thing, Sakura injected that Anti-Venom secretly at the end of ep 24, it annoys me that she says it'll work for 3 minutes yet a half an hour later at the end of the ep she says she has 2 more minutes she should have been dead along time ago dammit! BTW if it only works for 3 minutes, why isn't Kankuro dead!?

I've only watched a few episodes (I'm waiting for it to be dubbed so that I don't have to read subtittles), and I must say, it's a big releif to see Sakura actually DOING something... although she's still flat though... XD I just hope the plot picks up soon...

It's a relief she's doing something, but that doesn't matter when the animation sucks and we can't focus on her for more then 4 seconds without switching over to the other 6 fights then the episode ends with NOTHING happening.

Exactly. I was scratching my head when at the beginning of the episode she says she has 3 minutes before the anti-poison wears off, and then at the end of the episode she states something along the lines of:

"I better defeat Sasori now, the poison wears off in 2 minutes".

I actually like the animation in the Sasori fight. But seriously, Sakura must have failed Math HORRIBLY! "The Anti-Venom Wears off in 3 minutes!" *30 minutes later* "I have 2 minutes left!"
Does anyone think they made Naruto look fat in Shippuuden?

What? The Sasori fight has had many different animators specificallyfor it, so there's not just one type of animation on it, and all but 1 have sucked so far, and even then the 1 time it didn't it was for ONE move.

And I can't stand people pulling the time thing out of the air saying it's taking forever, ever since the 5 Minute Namek destruction thing.

Time flows WAY differently in anime then it does here, best example is Sailor Moon transformation, we see a large drawn out cutscene of her transforming taking around 20 sec. to do so, BUT the people IN the show see a flash of light and it's done, that's it.

For here, Sakura says she only has 3 minutes. And then she starts to heal her and the old hag, then it cuts to Naruto and Kakashi doin stuff, NOW everything that happens during this time we focus on Naruto and Kakashi, everything we JUST saw with Sakura is just starting to happen and happens the entire time we see Naruto, when we cut back no time has passed since we last saw her, and that's why this is going so slow, because we're doing that between 6 fights right now.

Yes, but I doubt she can inject herself, get hit, lie down, punch the puppet, explain the entire scenario to Chiyo-Ba, have a flashback, heal herself and Chiyo-Ba, and see Sasori's Puppet Form all in under a minute. I don't care how differently time passes in an anime, you can't do all that in under a Minute!

Definitely true. But the point I am making can be summarized best by the first thought that came to my head after the episode was over:

I waited a week just to see an episode where 1 minute passes, and nothing happens.

I'm indifferent to how much time passes in the anime itself, just as long as something significant happens in the episode. Of course, it IS difficult to make something happen in 1 minute but this is a plot element the writing staff incorporated themselves. Interestingly, would it be as difficult if less time was spent on repetetive/usless/unneccesary flashbacks?

Now on a different note, the last 5 episodes have painted the characters as being predicatable. Here, I'll illustrate by writing out the most frequently used line, or variation of lines, stated by each character:

Naruto: "Give back Gaara" *makes rediculous angry face and chases Deidara through a seemingly never-ending corridor*

Kakashi: "Naruto slow down, he's trying to lure you away from me" *makes worried face and chases Naruto through a seemingly never-ending corridor*

Deidara: "Damn, I have to lure the Jinchuriki away from Kakashi" *flies through a seemingly never-ending corridor*

Gai/Rock Lee/Neji/Tenten: "Fighting myself sure is difficult"

Interestingly, Chiyo, Sakura, and Sasori seem to be the only ones that get any real dialogue, probably since their fight is more important/interesting.

@ Spehirex, that's where you're wrong, ANY amount of time can be done in under one minute in an anime. Especially since these people are ninjas, Ninjas move at high speed all the time, even when thinking to themselves, we just see it as normal time since that's what we do. SO all this is easily 1 minuted.

@OverMind, I never tried to defend Shppudan for being terrible, but the time frame it happens isn't the problem, the entire way they spend telling the story through useless flashbacks, and transitioning from one fight to the other is the problem. If Sakura said this antidote only lasted 20 minutes, and said 5 minutes time passed by the end, it would've STILL been a terrible set of ways to pass the time, including terrible animation for us to watch also (except this episode).

and the Sakura, Chiyo, Sasori fight is the fight we're focusing on, that's why we're getting to hear more from them then anyone else. When this is done we'll probably hit Naruto/Kakashi, or have filler, or watch each of the other fights actually progress over patty-cake tournaments. Meaning Shippudan isn't going to get better soon.....

I'm quite enjoying naruto at the moment, it is getting a bit tedious the way they seem to be getting no where.

I'm enjoying the sakura and sasori fight...........still wish they'd hurry up and finish it

You forgot that she secretly used the antidote 2 EPISODES AGO! I'm sure she can't talk as fast as a ninja is "supposed" to move. Speaking of which, Ninjas are supposed to wear clothes that could fade into darkness, preferably black. If this is true why are they wearing white, green, red clothing and an Orange Jumpsuit?

Episodes have nothing to do with it, she used it in the last few seconds of a few episodes ago, which was the exact start of the last episode. Meaning the time frames are the same as I mentioned before anyway.

That's wrong. Ninja's where clothing that are suited for the mission and help them merge with the setting. Missions ranged from assassinations to delivery, so the same clothing wasn't always used. When Ninjas existed (if they did) black was the best color since forests were a majoriy of the regions and they did everything at night. NOW if ninjas existed, any colored suit would be fine and they could get away with anything, and considerng they do their missions at any time means the same.

Now in Naruto, the same aplies but it's even lighter on the need for them. Why? Because unlike our ninjas, these ninjas have "magic", ninja techniques that allow them to transform themselves completely, disappear, shoot elements at each other, see through things, etc....there isn't a need for any clothes that merge with the surroundings since they can do it themselves.

This anime would be much better, if it wasn't for all the time wasted with dramatic camera panning and such. I much prefer reading the manga in this case. Just IMO.

Come on it's not like you're watching 24 or something here, it's a friggin anime. Suspend disbelief. I've not even really noticed the different animators but I don't look that closely. Hopefully 26 (I think that's next) will be better and actually have a decent fight.

Anime deserves the same amount of criticism, if not more, than real shows. I'm NOT looking closely at all, butitis very apparent as it oes o and on.

Okay did anyone notice that when Sakura used the antidote for Sasoris poison she said it would only work for 3 minutes or whatever, right? Is it just me or did those 3 minutes last far to long?

Ok if it goes on for another 5 episodes then people can start complaining because then we're getting into spirit bomb territory, which admittedly would take a long time to charge but that doesn't mean we needed to see every second of it. That was like watching the start of a porn, you just wanted it to be out of the way so you could get to the good stuff.
I think that's possibly the most disturbing analogy I've come up with this year so far.

Ot the best, exept the Spirit Bomb part. The spirit bomb part is actually heald high for being one of the best draw out of the series.

But later on I believe Naruto will get a super big Rasengan, SPIRIT BOMB!!
