Watchmen
There's a reason why it was the only comic book to be in Time's 100 Greatest Novels.
Rorschach was by far the best character and in my opinion he was not a lunatic, just a misunderstood hero. |

I never thought Rorschach was insane.
The only thing I'd say doesn't work for me and some other in that book is the comic with in comic thing. I know it should be reinforcing things from the main storyline but my eyes just pan over those panels unless the news guy was talking over it. I 'm always amazed at how much they put into that comic. |

Watchmen is fantastic. I can't even consider it a comic book. It was so much more than that. Excellent story-telling, well developed characters with their own plights (even the side characters are interesting.)
I also agree that Rorschach isn't insane, just disturbed... and some what derranged. He was definitley the most complex (right along side of Doc Manhatten.) Not to mention my favorite... I love the book. |

I'm still struggeling to decide who my favorite character is. Dr. Manhatten or Rorscharch? Both of their veiws on people and the world are interesting as the actions they take to do what they beleive is right.
As for the comic itself..... It's just amazing. Spectacular. No word can describe how much I love this comic. |

Rorschach is insane: he has a ridiculously radical white and black look on morality, he thinks his mask is his face and he is a conspirancy loon.
All that said, he's clearly the best character. I also loved Dan, he's just a nice guy with a really weird hobby doing the best he can in a countdown for apocalypse. |
