Interesting... I'll have to check it out...

A protagonist with insane hair, lots of spellcasters, no motorcycles, astronauts, or cosmically misaligned figments of the protagonist's imagination... Huh. Seems like it might almost be watchable.

It looks cool. Could be interesting too. I'm looking forward to it.

Looks interesting. Yuya? If I didn't get it last time, I think it must be a rule that all YuGiOh protagonists must have a "Yu" in their name. XD

It is a rule.

I appreciate how they try to keep them all connected somehow, even it is just two letters in their name.

Looks interesting. 5Ds and Zexal weren't of much interest to me: I think I own 2 5-Ds volumes and I don't ever plan on even looking at Zexal. So if this is a 'back-to-the-roots' kind of thing, I think I'll go for it. Just so long as they don't make it X number of years into the future.

Just watched episode 1! I love it! ^__^
Yuya is a pretty interesting character. He wants to be an entertainer, but he's being weighed down by his father's bad reputation, so he's resorted to making a fool of himself to draw all that attention away from his father. The first episode is basically Yuya fulfilling an offer he made three years ago when he was just a kid; his father never showed up to duel the reigning champion, so he offered to take his father's place. Three years later, he gets an invitation to take part in such a duel, and he decides to go and fight the champ, both to restore his father's good name and to entertain the masses. I'm not sure what sort of story is going to develop from this show, though I suppose we'll find out in the episodes to come. Also, I am pleased to report that my good friend ManaYuGiOhGX5Ds and I are going to be kicking off our own Abridged Series of Arc-V very soon. More details as it develops. ;) |

I've also seen the first episode. And I don't know, it wasn't awsome but it was better than the first episode of Zexal! I found Yuya as a character more interesting than Yuma. Maybe because he can lose. I found that pretty disturbing in Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, I mean, how many games does Yuma lose? Maybe one or two...
But Yuya's monster cards are not that cool. I'm 25 years old and should not really care about that, but still :D and I agree with you AzzyFox, We'll just have to wait and see. The first episode doesn't really say much about the character or his deck. Last edited by somethingswedish; 04-19-2014 at 05:12 AM. |

I'm really excited about Episode 12 of Arc-V; Reiji and Yuya have finally met face to face at the end of Episode 11.
Also, check out Episode 3 of Arc-V Abridged! I'm glad I can use this to help some folks who are unable to watch Arc-V get connected to it. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM56...ature=youtu.be Last edited by AzzyFox; 06-25-2014 at 02:33 AM. |

Wow... I am very impressed with Yuya's rival, Reiji. He uses all three Extra Deck archetypes--Fusion, Synchro and Xyz.
He may look like Kaiba (Seriously, is he a descendant or something? It's gonna bug me for a long time. XD) but I'm already taking him a lot more seriously than Kaiba. |

I'm a little disappointed that Yuya is kind of a crybaby, but there is some potential good in this. It means we'll get to see him grow up and become more mature, evolve into more of a man. Stuff like that makes for great character bits.

So there's this filler going on in which Yuya duels this person with food monsters. Weird. =P
Watching this, I'm starting to wonder when the story is gonna start escalating. It's clearly revolving around the mystery of the Dark Duelist, but the show hasn't touched upon it much. |

In light of what's happened recently in the show, I felt I should share a thought or two:
Arc-V seems to be an amalgamation of previous elements from every Yu-Gi-Oh show that came before it. -Yuya and Reiji already have a Yugi/Kaiba rivalry dynamic going for them. -Various characters have been using Fusion, Synchro and Xyz monsters. -Shun has the power to imprison people inside cards, a step up from what Pegasus's Millennium Eye was capable of doing, but a reference to that ability nevertheless. -Yuto and Shun can bypass the boundaries of holograms and inflict real damage. -A mysterious duelist named Yugo has a Duel Runner and a Synchro dragon. CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES! -Yuto appears to have come from a destroyed Heartland (Zexal). Last edited by AzzyFox; 08-17-2014 at 11:27 PM. |

Uh... Looks like we have a guest in this series. Either that or just a really good cosplayer.
