I just this past year read some of his stuff for the first time (inspired by Stand by Me). He has a wonderful flow of language and definitely knows how to craft a novel. The ones I've read (The Shining, The Body, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Misery, Doctor Sleep) I have definitely enjoyed, but I've gone mostly for well-acclaimed titles because I've heard some mixed reviews about some of his other stuff.
